When all you are doing is DTW>DCA (500 miles, 1 segment), not much I can do about that. Here I think a challenge is legitimate. I'm on a plane twice a week or more, but becuase I'm a hub hostage (live 15 min west of DTW), making it on segments, it will be nice to be gold sooner than later.
If I were LAX>DCA every week, that would be a different story
