Have done both a few times and prefer VS I have to say in economy just simply for its entertainment system which is far better than than the QF one. Otherwise they are fairly similar IMO..both decent Y carriers.

If you can pay the extra VS Premium Econ is a much better bet with slightly better service and a much more comfortable seat which make all the difference on the long flight. Small quietier cabin.

As for the 65% true on the SYD-HKG leg - not true on the HKG -LHR leg which is always very full in my experience.

Also love the A340-600 but that is my personal preference...give it a go in PE ^
