Well actually I don't think they would let CA joining the *A due to their "quality" but rather due to their network they are providing in Asia and especially in China which is a very imprtant market but you are definitely familiar with the economical situation.
But the service CA is providing is reallt poor: the seats are quite old, the food and the beverages are very mediocre and the crew is normally not treating you too decently and cordially. Moreover the lounges are not very recommandable.
