No real concern as long as the 2007 cheapest place is within another $400 of IST.
As often noted here, dropping final segments involves a financial gamble - low chance of it happening, but dire consequences should you get singled out. But I thought it was okay to end a middle-east-originated OWE essentially any place in the middle east.
Re CMB, besides it not longer being a cheap place (for A, anyway) some folks have had to pay 3% for c/c use there (or do a cash/wire transfer) with its own issues.
