No marriages, but a couple of serious relationship stories, which I shall impose upon you...
I have met two women while flying who I have dated, both seriously, one for about three months, another for about three years on and off.
I met the first lady on a CO flight from DEN-LGW in 1988. We were seated beside one another in the back of the DC-10's economy class cabin. She went to the same university as me and it was a good laugh while it lasted, but things just sort of fizzled out since we were still in exploration mode.
I met the second lady on a PK flight from KHI-LHR in 1990. We chatted briefly at check-in, kept bumping into one another at passport control, in the lounge, on the bus to the aircraft and finally while waiting outside the restrooms while in-flight. We spent a good two hours sitting in the crew jumpseats by the galley talking and pretty much knew we wanted to be with each other for ever. Well, fast forward a few years and things pretty much fell apart because I was not ready to make a commitment so we finally called it a day. Well alright, she finally called it a day. Although we do not remain in touch because both of us are happily married to others, we occasionally cross paths through our respective social circles, charity projects and business interests.
