I just spent three days in Easter Island (middle of Feb.) and it wasn't enough. If you go in the first 2 weeks of Feb. they have this really great festival with all kinds of activities. They have a couple really nice beaches and the moai are amazing. If I had to do it again I'd stay a week.

We stayed at the Hotel Tuar'aa (sp?) and I would highly recommend. Really good breakfast, super helpful owners (an Australian guy and his local wife) and very clean and comfortable. Note that everything is quite expensive on the island.
