I've bought many Tumi pieces from my local outlet and at that time they were covered by both the warrantee and Tumi Tracer program. In the past year or two, I believe the outlets may have done away with the warrantees, but I thought they still participated in the Tracer program. Next time I am there, I'll look to see if the barcodes are blacked out or if the Tracer cards are still inside.

The outlets aren't as well priced as they used to be. I purchased a 22" rollaboard there a few years ago for $212 and now they are going for $349 (similar but not identical item # but the same in every way).

I was there a few weeks ago and I eyed a garment bag for under $200 as well as a golf bag similarly priced.

They were having a 25% off sale which made the prices nice. Otherwise, the deals were not as fantastic as they have been in the past.

They did have some good deals on some T3 silver items (under $100) but I only go for basic black.

As others have said, if you like the odd colors, you can often find some deals.

Lately, I have had equally good luck in finding Tumi at my Saks Off 5th stores, as well as Century 21, Marshalls and TJMaxx (where I grabbed a $200 expandable flap messenger bag for $18, with warrantee and Tracer). Marshalls also had tons of Tumi wallets for around $20.
