I don't agree with what Seatguru is claiming.
The first row is very nice and more than spacious and personally I like it much more having the own screen not integrated in the seat from the person who is sitting one row before me.
I can recommend either 1A or one 1C. It depends on the flight: on a night flight I would rather choose 1A since there is nobody who is jumping over you all the time when he is on his way to the bathroom for example.
