This is by far the best piece of advice i've read on this thread.

To provide further diversion, as an Edinburgh resident, I confess to all at holding a major grudge against Lothian Regional Transport. Thanks to its complete inability to operating any resemblance of a reliable service on its route 41, I have resorted to dealing with my daily commute by cycle or failing that by taxi. Yes, its that bad and no amount of complaining stops LRT from degrading the service every 4-6 months.

Change at Maybury and avoid the hassle of the city centre. Bus fare to the airport is only 80p from the Maybury Marriott stop.
