Why have transborder fares from YUL gone through the roof?

Not sure I need to elaborate beyond the question. In the last three or four months, I've noticed a nearly 100% increase in fares from YUL to the destinations on the East Coast of the US that I often travel to (BOS, EWR, PHL, WAS). Not just AC either, though they are never the lowest-priced of the airlines.

Any ideas?
