It's true that manners are changing and going out of the window somewhat. It does seem a real shame.
I once encountered a lady and her son in C, the little boy was constantly "get me this" or "get me that". I was serving another passenger when he shouted across the aisle "get me a coke". I replied, somewhat unprofessionally " yes, ok, but, a please would be nice" The mother removed her headphones and said, "my son is not brought up to say please or thankyou to the likes of you"

That child is going to find the world a very hard and unfriendly place
