Bear's Den in Paris is interesting - I don't know how long it's been open, but I never knew about it - it's a half block east of Le Bar du Palmier, and has a dance floor in the cellar, along with the obligatory nookie room. Older crowd.
Funny coincidence, too - one night on the town, I was nursing a beer, and saw someone whose face was familiar - I was like, "is that a celebrity, or what, because I KNOW THAT FACE?!" Thinking ... thinking ... and then it came to me - it was a face of someone I'd often see hanging out in New York's scene several years back, who'd suddenly disappeared 4 years ago or so. That happens, and you don't think much of it, but then when you see them later on in life, 3,500 miles away, it's fun!

I should have said something, but I didn't.
