Yes....but
OK, I understand that I am not on a plane every week like my husband and a lot of the elite flyers. Yet I have flown a lot with children and without.
First of all, You HAVE to state the children's ages when making reservations. If I try to split the reservation up then I have to pay the Unacompanied youth fair. You can not buy a ticket for someone under a certain age without an adult or you pay extra.
Second.....I have tried to split the seats up after purchasing the tickets. Both on line and when I get to the keosok at the airport. Both times to have them moved back by the time I get to the checkin gate at boarding. One time when I did get the seats split up. But once on the plane, the flight attendent said we had to sit together or they would have to charge us extra for the girls who were sitting together (they were 11 and 7 at the time) away from me.
Lastly, My girls are seasoned travelers. They are well behaved, mature travelers. But I still can not get out from the back of the plane. The last flight we were on, there was a large family traveling together, Mom, Dad, 5 children, an Aunt, Uncle and 3 cousins. They were all seated up front! And when I got to talking with the Mom (they were from the same area we were from). They were all flying on Credit Card FF tickets. We were flying on Delta Million Mile FF tickets!!! What did they do right????
It is just so frustrating! HOW DO I GET OUT FROM THE BACK OF THE PLANE....AND AWAY FROM THE TOILETS??????
