No, I am just questioning what purpose this MSU tracking serves DL. I bet not too many MSUs get purchased for the following reason: one must pay a higher fare to gamble that one might be able to use their purchased MSU, and I'm betting that just doesn't happen very often. The pax would be paying a fare that is often several hundred $$ more and then one would have to surrender purchased MSUs which cost at least $30/MSU if bought in bulk.
So I submit that DL would lose little revenue if every medallion had upgrade privileges within their time frame. But as we all know, we need to be very careful what we ask for!
