A joke? I think not. On all flights with meal service, the least you get on United is a delicious chocolate chip cookie or cheesecake for dessert. What do you get on Continental on all lunch flights under 3.5 hours? A miserable, tiny $0.10 piece of a Pecan Delight, which can be bought at your local Crown Theatre by the way. Even AA offers a full package of cookies for dessert on short/medium flights. No, I'm actually pretty skinny, but I'm very observant of things. Continental's meals in F are not impressive.

What is more significant, Continental cannot compete with AA, let alone UA's transcon premium services. Sure, Co flies some 757s with international BusinessFirst seats from EWR to the West Coast, but other than that, the in-flight experience, though quite acceptable, is simply ordinary.
