Thanks for the reply. I beg your pardon but it turns out I was wrong about my collegue's status. He is in fact SPG Gold. He's staying on points and he says he paid an additional 1500 points per night to be upgraded at both St. Regis and Westin. I'm not sure what the points-paid upgrade does in terms of lounge access. So the same question arises: Does he have breakfast and happy hour lounge access?
BTW, I'm not traveling with him, so he's on his own.
