I read a thread or two a while ago about this and basically you have to slightly alter your name on the duplicate reservations and not put in your AA number so that it will allow you to book it. IIRC someone wanted an extra seat for their musicaly instrument so that it didnt have to be stored below and they slightly altered their name on each ticket so that the computer would allow them to buy it. Of course as stated the risk is that AA will cancel it if they check.
