In the past, I have always just booked my Hertz reservations on hertz.com. Now that I have discovered ebates.com, I am trying to book on expedia to get 1% cash back on my rentals. I was able to enter a suitable CDP to reduce the cost to a competetive level, but I saw no place to enter a coupon (300 bonus ZE1 points - 968601, for example. Is there a way to get this PC added to my reservation (call Hertz Gold line, perhaps?) or are there no additional discounts?

I was also able to put my Hertz #1 Gold number into the reservation, so I am pretty sure that I will get Gold service.

Has anyone else had positive experiences booking this way, or am I stupid to not just use the Hertz web site?
