I was just talking to the EXP desk about my upgrade to EZE clearing. He asked how many MM I had. When I told him and asked why he told me it is how the priority between equal status members is ranked. Since I have 2.2 million lifetime miles I am a level 2. Within each level the next factor is when the upgrade is requested. E.g. an EXP with 1MM wins over Plat with 5 MM who wins over a Plat with 2MM. Berween 2 EXPs with between 2-3 MM then date of upgrade request. Your level corresponds to you lifetime MM but is not broken down between. Someone with 2.8 MM is equal to someone with 2.1 MM.

He also told me there are people with 35-45 million lifetime miles. Typically with those high number is it AAirpass folks who get the miles for both them and the travelling companion.

Anybody else heard this? Know if it is fact or fiction?
