I've been known to reply to the resulting email with something along the lines of (caps/bold) "Please reread my inquiry, you completely missed the point" and then itemize what they missed before you insert a copy of their response.

It almost always gets handled correctly the 2nd time around.

PM me w/ the name of responder -- they've recently had at least one real airhead on the job.

Plan B of course is the old fashioned way: stamp & letter.

I did try to cc Russ Hinkley on my response to their canned form letter, but to no avail. Years ago there were pre addressed envelopes for gold and plats to use and I'm sure they were handled by someone other than "Executive Staff Assistant". That avenue seems to have disappeared. Please pm if you don't want to broadcast an address.
