Maybe since there were three people on the bill, it would only make sense that OP would get credit for 1/3 of the points. What if HH gave OP the FULL points? Then the other 2 guests wanted points too...would HH say, "Sorry, Guest 1 already took the points...you snooze, you lose!" It also wouldn't be fair to HH if they gave out full points to each of the three guests either because they only earned one set of full points on that stay. I think HH is doing the right thing reserving the other 2/3 points in case the other guests requests them.
