Shared room - split bill - only receive credit for 1/3?
Hi everyone.
I was just curious about this scenario: I made a reservation at a Hilton for 3 people, and upon check-out had them split the bill 3 ways. No credit showed up on my account, so I called Hhonors, and asked for credit. They would only credit the # of points equal to the amount I spent on my credit card. I don't really mind, that is fair, but if I had know then I would have paid the whole thing and had my firends just pay me back. Any experience with this? Seems like it is a little picky - I have sometimes worked with my wife and we've split the bill and it never was an issue.
