Well, my current stint on the upgrade waitlist, some 85 days and counting, doesn't come close to Bruce's record, but I have a question. All of my itinerary segments(combination of G and Z) upgraded at the time of purchase using a NAMU, with the exception of one, DFW-ATL. This flight departs 7/12 and the 72 hr. window for GM's is fast approaching. There currently appear to be, based on the DL seatmap, about 15 unassigned seats in F. Does "A" inventory (segment upgrades) take precedence over "G?" Is DL likely to open up some "G" inventory at the 72 hr. window? Since I'm only FO, I'd have to wait until the 24 hr. window to use one of my segment upgrades, which I don't think I should have to do, assuming "A" inventory is still available then.
