Also, I think you'll find that most people prefer the eat on the ground, sleep in the air system on flights from the East Coast. As you have observed, sleeping time is at a premium. We all suffer if people want to "eat, drink and make merry all night" because it causes inevitable disruption caused by the noise/light pollution in the cabin. If you want to do that on a night flight from the East Coast, may I suggest you either go down the back, up front or with another carrier. But if you're coming up front, please could you "eat, drink and make merry all night" quietly.
