No I don't have any affinity, having been thru CDG, IAD and JFK (is this still the worst to connect thru I wonder?) I just don't accept your statement that LHR is the worst one. Not by a long way - my vote would definitely be CDG.

I've also had the same experiences you describe at LHR at YYZ, even post T1 new. I'm simply trying to add balance - on a bad day LHR can certainly be a nightmare but so can YYZ as I have learned from bitter experience on more than one occasion; >90 minute lines at both Canadian and Transborder Immigration resulting in a missed connx.

Your last statement is correct - LHR was started in around 1946 and it has been constantly expanded ever since. T5 will sort alot of that out when BA moves completely into this in 2008 and AC and all *A occupy T1. In general the transfer problems you describe from AC to BD will be history then as you will remain in one terminal and in one security zone.
