They are going to work

That part's fine with me. What irks me is the numerous crew members who, after cutting the (possibly long) line for the ID check, then proceed to cut in front of all the people already past the ID check who are queued up at the actual checkpoint itself, and throw their stuff on the belt ahead of people who are already de-shoed, de-coated and de-laptopped waiting to go through the WTMD. That just seems rude.

It is really no different than being on the road and identifying a driver who is holding up a line of traffic because they are not under stress to get to work at the time on the road. When you get the opportunity, you pass the driver and get to it. And, eventually so do the others behind you. Do you consider yourself to be rude? No, you're just doing what's necessary to put yourself up front to get to your work destination.

The crew are already preparing in their minds for what's ahead....the flight. They are not trying to usurp or disrespect anyone. If their countenances indicate something else, it's a heart issue and you can't change that anyway. It's just trying to get thru security without a problem, just like anybody else...
