I'm hoping this post will be a quick summary of the gotchas of the credit cards and EQM.
1. When the cards say you earn Bonus Miles, do these miles count for Elite Qualifying Miles (EQM)? (Some offers do say that you earn X number of EQM, but those that only say Bonus Miles are the ones I am thinking about)
2. If you cancel these cards before the year is up, can you avoid the $140 or $50 or whatever annual fee they try to place upon you?
3. Can you buy EQM?
4. I have a bunch of these redeemable miles, and Lifetime miles. Anyway I can put these to work to get me into either Premier Status, or just into Economy Plus?
5. Any other thoughts (other than Operational Upgrades, excellent thread by the way) to get into EP?
(The reasoning for my questions is below)
I'm trying as hard as I can to get myself into Economy Plus (My goals are low, but my effort is high). I'm 6'6" and just an inch too wide in the pelvis (Yep, my bones are big
to sit in the exit isle & bulkhead seats that have the tray in the arm.
For the past 2 years, I've been Premier. The only thing I ever used this level was to get a little extra leg room in Economy Plus (EP). But now that I am a general member, I'm getting stuffed back in the short seats.
