Or YVR has lots of water, mountains and glorious colours and Mrs will enjoy the shopping. Completely agree about SEA. Mrs P and I went in mid-September last year and had a great time in both the city and out on the Olympic Peninsula. The longer journey certainly allows you to get some decent sleep on the journey, especially if you are going for a relatively short period. The food is also pretty good, especially if you enjoy fish.
