Definately. People get suprised when I say I got a fare to a certain destination for equal to or less than WS with better scheduling and routing.
WestJet's marketing is just brutal though. For a while, after seeing all their lame 1-liners in all the newspaper ads, I honestly thought WS did their own marketing, but they actually hired a firm to do it for them

. When you hire a firm, aren't you supposed to be more creative than "Calgary to Vancouver: You'll finally use that new raincoat!"
The new WS ads are just as bad and barely "push the status quo", I mean, a WS employee running up to a pax 2 days later to return him his cellphone and stand in front of him as if she's about to offer sex? AC's ads are at least creative, intergrate all of Canada's identity, and their billboard ads, such as the "New York in a non-stop minute" in and around YYC are just so much more classier.
