followed by a leisurely taxi round to a T4 remote stand and a free bus tour of Heathrow

You should know that you are not allowed to take a taxi around the airside bit of Heathrow, shame on you. You have to remain seated until the Captain has switched off the seatbelt sign. If the First Officer switches it off, no, you cannot get up!

BA will not stop the aircraft, let you get off and take a limo around to immigration.

You have also missed the game of where to stop to pick up fuel game, with random additional stops on long haul routes.

Imagine being impressed by the QF 747 with "longreach" written on the side. You board, expecting lots of excitement on the way. Then the crew announce that you will be stopping at Stansted to refuel. You think "bloody hell, this thing cannot even get round the M25, how many stops are there going to be?" "I am glad this is the longreach version, I would hate to travel on the short range one" and so on
