It's very common for personally owned condos in Hawai'i to be rented out when the owners aren't in town. Many complexes do this so regularly that they're set up with registration desks and all the other hotel stuff.
If you were in one of those, a two-bedroom suite with a kitchen and washer/dryer would be the norm. Carpeting would be whatever that unit's owner picked.
So, all we have to go on here is that it was a few blocks from the beach, that you could see the water from the upper stories and that it probably had the word "beach" in its name. I'm afraid that won't be enough, but at least you're getting some possibilities here.
The good news is that if you're in Honolulu this time of year - especially if you live in a cold climate - it's hard to go wrong!
