One thing you can't beat is the non-stop flight from the east coast. The flight times are much better than arriving in BKK at midnight on UA's NRT-BKK flight. (At least they were when I checked several months ago.)

wideman apparently wasn't too enamored with the angled lie flat seat, but he liked the plane and the blankets. Others have found it better.
