We flew Biusiness Class from CDG to Singapore and when we checked in we were told that our 4 bags we were checking were over the 30 kg per person limit by 19 kilos and that at 39 dollars a kilo that would be 750dollars over charge.
I never read anything about this on Flyer Talk....is this correct. We can check only 30 kilos of baggage per person??? Luckily, we were able to take on of the smaller bags on as a carry on. Is this really an AF rule and am I going to have the same problem on our return Dubai CDG JFK. I want to be able to buy things along the way and this will probably make it difficult since we are maxed out with the 30 kilo rule.
Is this really a AF policy?
Any advice?
