Traveling in XY, I managed to get a CS125 out of a Colgan Air mechanical cancellation. Of course, it was on Christmas day, the agents lied to us about the reason for the cancellation, and it took 2 page+ letters and around 2 months. Not worth the effort, and I doubt they're going to give you diddly for a 4 hour mech.
