There is an old thread which discusses rumors about a corridor to Siberia. This is what the Boston Globe had to say at the time:

Ultimately, there will also be a corridor from the new security area connecting to the American Eagle gate area. Currently, passengers making a connection between an American and an American Eagle flight have to go out and reenter security.

Albert said new rest rooms are also being installed near the new security area that will be available to American Eagle passengers. He said American Eagle passengers now have to go out through security to find a rest room.
Obviously, there has been no progress on this in the past 18 months. The Globe hasn't been to kind to AA's operation at Logan either:

For starters, American has less space than other airlines of similar size at Logan. According to Massport, American has 23,182 square feet of customer service space, much of that a narrow corridor linking the check-in counter area to the security checkpoints.

US Airways has 26,752 square feet of customer service space, much of it located right in front of its check-in counters.

The American terminal is only about 10 yards wide at its narrowest point and about 15 to 20 yards wide in front of the check-in counters. That means check-in lines often have to stretch down the terminal rather than remaining concentrated in front of the airline counters.

The design of the terminal also is poor. Customers who have already checked in have to make their way back through the lines of people waiting to get boarding passes to get to the security checkpoints.

Rein said the terminal congestion makes it difficult for travelers, particularly holiday leisure travelers not accustomed to airport routines, to read signs or find airport staff that can help them determine which line they belong in.

"I think we're just dealing with an old airport here," he said.
All that said, I rather like Logan as a home airport:

o easily accessible by public transportation. I never park at the airport anymore, learned my lesson about that the hard way
o reasonably cheap flights (i.e. not a fortress hub)
o no WN so my employer can't make me fly Southwest
o decent AC, especially the former FL section; free T-mobile passes work all day so I don't have to pay at ORD/DFW

I try to spend as little time in the airport as possible so I don't really mind the lack of concessions. If I were connecting in BOS, I think it would be much worse.

What I really do miss is the old flight schedule with 767s to LAX and lots more non-stop destinations (SEA, SJC, AUS, etc.). Ah well...
