Going strictly by miles, I'm virtually equidistant from JFK, LGA, and EWR from my home. I'm not in Super Shuttle territory so that's out. If I'm going to/from JFK (which is most often), then I usually take a taxi although I am trying to get my act together enough to leave earlier and take public transport there more often since taxis (especially yellow cabs FROM JFK) are getting painfully expensive. Don't fly out of LGA much (especially when coming from/to home), but will usually take a taxi from home. More often than not, I am going straight from/to work when I fly LGA so I will take the public bus as I only work a few blocks from the stop. On the rare occasions I do fly to/from EWR, I will always take public transport as the r/t taxi can cost nearly as much as the flight!
