The FA can see who is a stand by passenger (staff) or paying passenger on the manifest they get from the ground staff. The FA would never swop two full fare passengers if she didnt know the other guy was staff or a companion to a staff member. The FA is not obliged to ask someone to swop seats (its all controlled by the ground agent) but this FA was nice and realized that it was wrong and asked, probably nicely, the staff to kindly swop seat.
So I dont really know why Ben is STILL upset, the problem was sorted out and life moves on no? The ground agent did a crap job but imagine all abuse she gets, the low salary she gets and even if she hates passengers and her job, its not always easy to just give up a job. She SHOULD go away but its nice to see that there a FA's that show compassion.
