sorry for asking you so many questions but it's the very first time I'm landing in DC and not going to DC. I know the other airport would have been much better but at the time i booked the flight landing at reagan was much cheaper.

Take the metro-rail and stay out of taxis. The King Street station is not that far away from National but depending on the time of day it can take anywhere from 15 minutes to over an hour. Remember DC is a government town and afternoon rush hour starts at 3:30 on the dot! It is really a sight to behold, to see I 395 go from a 12 lane speedway to a parking lot in about 30 minutes!

Having said all that, I'd still rent a car and drive the ~20 miles to Manassas. One thing if you do rent a car, make sure you spring for an on Airport rental company, otherwise you will waste collossal amounts of time waiting for shuttles.
