sorry for asking you so many questions but it's the very first time I'm landing in DC and not going to DC. I know the other airport would have been much better but at the time i booked the flight landing at reagan was much cheaper.

Let's make it simple. The subway - a.k.a. the Metro - stops at DCA. From the "Ronald Reagan National Airport" stop, you go outbound (away from Washington), on the Blue or Yellow Line for two stops to King Street Station. Cost is minimal. You pay for a fare card upon entry. There are charts there to tell you how much money to put on your fare card. (Have small bills or change!!!! - everything is automated).
