From National, you can get on the metrorail system and take a blue or yellow line train to King Street Station in Alexandria and then take a Virginia Rail commuter train to Manassas Sta. There are about eight VRE trains a day in either direction. It will probably require a cab from the station to wherever you are going in Manassas.
