I really think you should report this to the authorities (don't know which ones, but you can find out). What will actually happen to him is another thing, but at least you have reported what happened.

You basically documented this with the FA's on the flight and they took the actions they could...which will bolster your claim.

The next time it COULD be a minor who doesn't have the nerve or wherewithall to do what you did. This is definitely not the first time he's tried this.

Granted, it could be a little embarassing, but this guy needs to be put "on notice."

As far as DL goes, I can't see where they owe you anything because they really can't be responsible for this type of thing.

You need to let them know, though, as others have posted, they may flag/ban him. More important is contacting the authorities as this may shake him up.

I thought I'd heard it all until this. You did a good job handling it though. Had you decked the guy you would have ended up in jail, most likely met by the FBI for air rage. Difficult spot to be put in.

Now that you're on the ground, follow-up and give this guy some hell legally.
