Flew LX, Got BA Miles/Points!?
Please note that I collect miles in the AAdvantage programme for BA and LX (until they I no longer can, when they will go to UA).
Last week I was scheduled to fly on BA (full fare Y) from LHR-ZRH and back.
A few days before travel, I had to fly LX (full fare C) to travel with the client, so cancelled my BA ticket and booked myself onto LX.
When the miiles posted to my AAdvantage account for the outbound flight, I was credited for the original BA flight [EQPs/EQMs and all (491+509 = 1000)], not the LX flight.
However, for the return, I was credited for the flight in LX C (491+123 = 614 Miles, No EQPs/EQMs).
Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining (the EQPs/EQMs are welcomed), but I am wondering:
1) Has this happened to anyone else?
2) Is it cheeky/greedy/worth it to send in my LHR-ZRH LX C boarding pass to try and get some more miles?
3) What gives?
Thanks for any insights,
