OP? Am I missing a flyertalk jargon here?
Anyway, it looks like any short haul deep-discounted American flight then can be my fast track to Platinum through this challenge!
What is the point (get it - "point" :-) in flying 1,000 or more mile flights if all you will get on a discounted fare regardless is 500 points...
