Some thoughts concerning the weekly Fan and Web special fares

As the Fan and Web fares that DL issues weekly are never upgradeable, would you purchase them if they were offered at a higher price and were upgradeable? How about the option of a "use 800 segment" check box which will still result in much lower prices than normal, but higher than the the Fan & Web specials that are all LUsers.

I for one would consider purchasing more of these specials if I were allowed to use MSU's. I wouldn't mind paying more than the heavily discounted LUsers as long as the upgradeables were also offered at a discount.

AA starts their Net SAAver Weekend Getaways after 7 PM Friday night, instead of Saturday morning which is DL's policy, and they have a Tuesday return. In addition, they give you more time to make your plans as they are for the following weekend. Would you consider more of these specials if there was a Friday evening departure and also the extra lead time for planning? I for one would like that headstart for a quick weekend trip as opposed to losing 1/2 the day traveling on Saturday morning.

How about some more international web specials like AA & CO offer. You rarely see any from DL. They should also be offered for B/E on the routes that DL knows have empty front cabins for that weekend. Fill up those seats and not have us wait for a once or twice a year B/E sale. These international specials should start on Thursdays and end on Tuesdays and offered for the following weekend like AA's.
