I too have a related question to this
My experience is they don't ask for ID for the gov rate but some properties do
so I am told. My question is.. does the govt rate qualify for the "stay two seperate stays to earn a free night" offer from choice? If so I too plan on staying at a comfort Inn in PHX with a govt rate of $49 which is pretty good for spring. Any thoughts?
