I just found out I needed a room in Alpharetta, GA Next week. I checked the website, nothing available. No problem I think, I am guaranteed a room as a Platinum member. So I called the Platinum desk and tell them I need a room at a sold out HIX. They say okay let me check. Ten minutes later, he comes back and says sorry they can’t help me. They are closed out to check-ins. He then tells me they suggest I make all my reservations 2-3 weeks in advanced. I said, “If I knew 3 weeks ago I would have made the reservation then”.
This is a benifit that I could realy use sometimes. I am always traveling last minute, and sometimes it gets tough. I know this has been brought up before, but it really irks me.
Shouldnt they force a resveration and deal with it later?
