AA and CO don't think their current routes to China suck. UA doesn't think its current routes to China suck. They don't want to stop flying those routes. They want to fly MORE routes. To CAN, for example. Duh!
I don't understand why you guys are even discussing this part. Giving up an existing lucrative route to serve another lucrative route is six of one, half a dozen of the other. It wouldn't serve shareholders in any appreciable way, even if loads were slightly higher. (Could they really get any higher, anyway?)
