Shame on those f/a's!

I can see letting someone sit in the jumpseat for a few minutes, but if they let her occupy a f/a jumpseat for landing those f/a's were WRONG in doing so. If there were empty seats in Y, even if they were middle seats, then they should have put her in one of those for landing. The only time I can see letting someone sit in the jumpseat for landing is if every single seat is taken and there is no other option. Even then, the captain would have to okay it and it would have to be approved by someone on the ground as well. I hope nobody reports it, because it could mean serious consequences and even possibly termination for the entire crew. I know that some rules are flexible, but this certainly isn't one of them. I hate to sound so hard-nosed about this, but it's nothing I would even consider doing. The FAA isn't shy about fining f/a's and they would have a field day with this one. I just flew with someone that got a surprise check ride from the FAA and she is being fined thousands of dollars for not having a bulletin in the right place in her manual. If they want to, they can really come down hard on a crew and I hate to see than happen to anyone when it's not necessary.
