I do enjoy Eurostar, but I also have a thing for LCY-ORY. LCY is a great airport (I can cycle there, or get the DLR now) with a 10 minute minimum check-in. You then go in a 146, which, due to the short runway at LCY, sits at the end of the runway, engines up high, limbering up like a cat ready to pounce, before wheechting off up for (if you're lucky) a view that practically lets you see inside the boardroom of Canary Wharf.

At ORY, you're out in seconds. There is a faded grandeur about this airport... A driverless train (so, like the DLR, you can elbow kids out the way to get the seat at the front) whisks you off to Antony RER station, and you're in Paris before you know it.

I do like flying.
