A big thumbs up for the Eurostar!
Just did the chunnel from Paris to London on the Eurostar. - was very quick and virtually hassel free.

You clear French/UK customs before you get on the train so it save alot of time on the other end.

I agree with the OP - to snag a really good fare - book early and try and package it with a hotel stay.
